I just got my wisdom tooth, and it hurts! Ow!
This morning, after eating breakfast (well brunch actually), something bothered me. A new tooth is growing in my mouth, and it hurts. I asked my mom about this new tooth of mine and she just laughed and said that I was just getting OLD.
Boom!
What?! ME old?! No, I told myself. My mom was probably pulling my leg.Maybe, I can let the dentist to pull this thing out? I don't deserve this, I said to myself! You're not yet old, you're still young.
But then a realization came to me. Have I really grown that much that I haven't noticed? Am I really getting old? Do I really deserve this painful wisdom tooth to remind me that I'm getting cranky and old? Maybe, I do.
The wisdom tooth has done it. It was my eye-opener to the truth. The truth, that I'm getting old (though the physical appearance looks younger than the actual age. Haha!) and sooner or later everything will begin to change.Changes that are inevitable.
Sometimes in life, we resist the truth. We believe to things we want to believe in. We tend to neglect the most important things life has. We try to be somebody else, but actually, subconsciously, the real us wants to get out.
Let us not pretend. Show the real you! Don't wait for a "wisdom tooth" to remind you of who you really are!
